Replacement Covers - FAQ

Here are some of the questions we get asked about replacement covers for hot tubs:

If you have any further questions do not hesitate to contact us!

  • Can you make covers for any spa make/model?
Yes, we can make covers for spas of any shape or size. All of our hot tub covers are custom made to your specification to ensure an accurately fitting cover every time.
  • Can you repair my old cover?
No, unfortunately not. The cost of repairing a cover is usually as much as replacing it.
  • Can I buy replacement inserts?
No, unfortunately we only sell complete covers.
  • Can I have my hot tub cover in a different colour?
Yes, please click here to see our colour chart. We would recommend one of the darker colours such as black, brown or green. This is because the lighter coloured covers tend to show dirt and water run off marks much more easily.
  • What is the difference between a grade 1 and grade 2 cover?
Grade 2 covers are much thicker, making them a better insulator and therefore retaining more heat. Both grade 1 and grade 2 covers are tapered. For cover specifications, click here.
  • Why are the hot tub covers tapered?
Both grade 1 and grade 2 covers are tapered meaning that they are slightly sloped from the centre fold of your spa cover. This allows surface run off, preventing rain water from pooling on your cover.
  • Is there a minimum/maximum size cover you can manufacture?
No, however if you require a very large cover it may be easier for you to use if it is made up of multiple sections. If you have an unusual size/shape request please contact us with your requirements.
  • Do you sell replacement covers for swim spas?
Yes, we can make custom covers for your swim spa, often made up of 2-3 overlapping cover sections. Please contact us with your specific requirements.
  • Do you sell covers for swimming pools?
At present we only sell covers for hot tubs and swim spas.
  • Do you sell heavy-duty hard top covers?
No. They tend to be heavy, expensive, and offer little benefit. We can however add some additional strength to your cover for a charge. Please note, this is only to protect your cover, for example if it is under a tree with falling branches. Additional strength DOES NOT make your cover suitable to walk or sit on.
  • Is there a warranty on the covers you sell?
Yes, all of our hot tub covers come with a 12 month warranty. Please see our warranty page for full details. Please note that it is essential that the measurements you give us when ordering are correct - we cannot be held responsible for errors in cover specification other than our own.
  • How long will it take for my cover to be delivered?
All of our covers are custom made to order, so manufacture and delivery time can take up to 2 weeks. If you need your cover in a hurry you can use our express service which guarantees your cover within 1 week.
  • How do I maintain my hot tub cover?
To prolong the life of your spa cover, wipe it down regularly with water and a mild soap. When adding chemicals to your hot tub always leave the cover off for about half an hour. This will allow any excess chemical vapour to escape rather than settling on the cover. Lastly, if your cover becomes water logged, remove the inserts and leave them out to dry for up to 48 hours. This will reduce strain on the cover and prevent the inserts from breaking. For more maintenance and care tips see the cover maintenance page.
  • My hot tub cover is awkward and heavy to lift. Is there an easier way?
Yes! If you struggle to take the cover off your spa (especially if there is only one of you) then we recommend a cover lifter. The cover lifter makes removing and replacing the cover on your hot tub an easy one person job.
  • I’ve had my cover for a number of years now but water is beginning to pool in the centre of my cover, what can I do?
Providing your spa is symmetrical, unzip the cover then remove the inserts and flip them over. This will make the previous dip into a hump, improving surface run off.
